As we finish up the school year, I want to say thank you to all of the parents, staff, and administration who help make our students successful in music! We have had many wonderful concerts throughout the year, and look forward to creating more wonderful musical memories with the students next year. Thank you students for all of your hard work, and enjoy your summer break...keep singing! :)
Welcome to Music!
My name is Stacey Gritz and I am the music teacher at O'Plaine School. I am very excited to help all of my students become more creative and successful musicians. Students will learn fundamental music concepts such as rhythm, melody, harmony, timbre, and performance techniques throughout the course of one semester. Students will also demonstrate the ability to sing, play Orff instruments, and play various other instruments. Fifth grade students will also have a unit in African Drumming, while third grade students will have a unit in recorder. Both third and fourth grade students also have a concert each semester. I believe firmly that all students can be musical and hope to foster an appreciation for music that will last a lifetime!
