Hello My Name Is...

Krista Wyman

2010-2011 marks my sixth year in District 56.  I taught five years as a 6th grade Math teacher at Viking Middle School prior to coming to O'Plaine as the Gifted Math and Language Arts teacher for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students.  I earned my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education (Minors in Math and Adaptive Education) at Carroll College.  I completed my Masters of Arts in 2009 in Curriculum and Instruction at Concordia University.  This fall, I begin a Certificate Program in Advanced Teaching: The Gifted at Northwestern University. 

When I'm not at school, I enjoy cooking for my friends and family, traveling, and watching baseball.  Go White Sox!  My husband and I have visited nearly half of the baseball stadiums in the US and hope to finish up the rest of them in the next few years.
